George Floyd Square

On Thursday March 25th, 2021 the Bryant Neighborhood Board of directors voted unanimously to stand in solidarity with the Powderhorn Park Neighborhood and Corcoran Neighborhood statement of position on 38th & Chicago | George Floyd Square. The statement acknowledges the sanctity of the space, importance of uniting for justice and promoting equity in the community. We believe the city’s decision to reopen the intersection to vehicle traffic cannot be done without collaboration and building our community up and not simply “tearing the obstacles down” as PPNO has stated. BNO thanks our community members for standing up for justice and promoting the peacefulness of the space that is often overlooked in the media outlets. Please find the statement here in full.
